Richard J. Lantinberg
Richard J. Lantinberg, Esq., is a 1992 honors graduate of the University of Florida College of Law and grew up in Miami, Florida before moving to Jacksonville in 1992. He graduated cum laude from the American University in Washington D.C. in 1989 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree--majoring in Finance and Accounting.
He is admitted to practice in all Florida state courts and before the federal district courts for the Middle and Southern Districts of Florida. He is AV rated by Martindale Hubbell, a peer review rating system. According to Martindale Hubbel, an AV® certification mark is "a significant rating accomplishment - a testament to the fact that a lawyer's peers rank him or her at the highest level of professional excellence. A lawyer must be admitted to the bar for 10 years or more to receive an AV® rating."
Mr. Lantinberg has also been included for publication in the 2008 and 2009 editions of Florida Super Lawyer Magazine. The selections for Super Lawyers are made by Law & Politics, a division of Key Professional Media, Inc. of Minneapolis, Minn. According to Law & Politics, each year they undertake a rigorous multi-phase selection process that includes a statewide survey of lawyers, independent evaluation of candidates by Law & Politics’ attorney-led research staff, a peer review of candidates by practice area, and a good-standing and disciplinary check. Only five percent of the lawyers in the state are named by Super Lawyers.
Mr. Lantinberg has specific experience representing individuals and businesses with claims against insurance companies, class action litigation and business disputes and torts. He has participated in Class action lawsuits against USAA Insurance, Pacific Life Insurance Company, L.A. Weight Loss Centers, General Nutrition Company and others. He has also represented victims of securities fraud and stock losses against banks and stock brokers.
